Iberia boosts Ibiza flights for May bank holiday

Iberia Express, low cost leader in Madrid and on routes between Madrid and the Balearic Islands, will increase its operations to the archipelago, with 10 extra flights and 1,800 additional seats, “to respond to the increased demand for the May long weekend in Madrid,” according to the airline in a press release.

Specifically, frequencies are increased to Ibiza with eight additional flights and to Palma de Mallorca, where two more flights are added. On the Menorca-Madrid route, Iberia Express will operate two daily flights throughout the long weekend.

“The Balearic Islands is one of the most demanded destinations for getaways and long weekends, and at Iberia Express we have the flexibility required to schedule additional flights for our customers,” says Isabel Rodriguez, commercial director of Iberia Express.

During this period the airline will offer a total of 295 flights and more than 55,000 seats between Madrid and the archipelago. These figures already include the growth programmed by Iberia Express for this summer season which, added to these additional flights, represents an increase of 111 percent compared to the May long weekend in 2023.
