The hotel management company, specialising in the luxury urban and holiday segment in America and Europe, will open a hotel in Ibiza in 2024, the company’s second in Spain. Nômade’s first establishment in the country will be in Madrid, in the building owned by the socimi Millenium Hospitality Real Estate (Mhre), which currently houses the Iberostar Las Letras hotel.
The company, founded among others by Barry Sternlicht and Bjarke Ingels, has signed an agreement with the Mhre for the operation of the hotel, located in an “emblematic classical style building inspired by the Spanish Renaissance, considered one of the architectural jewels of Madrid’s Gran Via,” the socimi said Thursday in a statement.
To this end, Millenium, focused on four- and five-star hotel assets in high-growth areashas agreed with the current tenant to terminate the lease agreement by June 30, starting on that date the repositioning and adaptation to the new brand, which is expected to be completed by the last quarter of 2025.
The Madrid and Ibiza hotels join the existing hotels in Tulum, Holbox, Sian Ka’an (Mexico) and Miami (USA), as well as future hotels in New York, Todos Santos, Punta Mita, Marrakech, Berlin and Lisbon.
