Illegal party detectives start work in June

El Consell de Ibiza mantiene este servicio a pesar del descenso de esta actividad ilegal a petición de las policías locales de la isla, pero con una importante reducción de actuaciones durante el verano

The Consell de Ibiza continues to employ detective services to combat illegal parties and unlicensed tourist rentals, responding to a request from local police despite a decrease in such activities. The service, now significantly reduced in scope and cost (€51,836 including VAT for 21 days, compared to €143,990 for 68 days last year), will involve Intelligentia Pro Justitia coordinating with local police. The detectives will infiltrate events to gather evidence for processing complaints. Despite reduced need since the pandemic, the service is seen as a deterrent, as awareness of potential infiltration discourages illegal activities. The operation includes tracking, surveillance, and reporting, aiming to identify and document illegal events and their organizers.
