The discovery of a citizen in Ibiza: a lifeless body in es Codolar

The Guardia Civil, which is investigating the case, has not yet been able to identify the body

The body that appeared on Saturday at 6 p.m. in es Codolar was found by a citizen who was walking in the area and who, upon discovering it, alerted the local police of Sant Josep, as this newspaper has learned.

The man remained at the scene next to the patrol waiting for the arrival of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard to ensure that no one approached and “disturbed” the area.

The lifeless body, the third found in Ibiza this week, was removed by firefighters, who were mobilized to the scene upon receiving the alert.

Still to be identified

The Civil Guard went to the scene and is now in charge of the investigation of the case. From this security corps they have reported that the identification has not yet been possible.

The others two deceased found this week in other public areas of the island, one in a tent in Sant Antoni and the other in a cave in Vila, were in a advanced state of decomposition.

In the case of the body found in Vila, it was in ‘skeletonization’ phasethis made it largely impossible for the forensic scientist to make an identification. As for the body found in Sant Antoni, on the Cala Gració road, it was determined that it was a man of Moroccan origin.
