The Ibiza fire brigade had to travel from the Parque Insular to Puig d’en Valls at 5.11 p.m. on Sunday to rescue five people who had become trapped on a telescopic platform raised to a height of no less than fifteen metres.
According to firefighters, the place of the incident was a private estate where a family reunion was being held.
A crew made up of three personnel and a foreman, equipped with a fire truck and a ladder truckthe rescue, which lasted a total of two hours, was carried out by three personnel and a foreman, equipped with a fire engine and a ladder[]with which they made five ascents to the platform.
The five people trapped after the platform suffered a malfunction had been suspended in the air since 15.30 hourswhen the mechanical failure occurred and they attempted to “by all means” to solve it, without success.
