The Guardia Civil is carrying out a macro anti-drug operation in Ibiza with several arrests and searches around the island, according to the security forces this morning.
In order to carry out this operation, the following have been mobilized RAG (Rapid Action Group) and the GRS (Reserve and Security Rescue Group) of the Guardia Civil. In addition to several agents of the Usecic (Company Citizen Security Units).
An aesthetic center in Vila
One of the first sites investigated this morning was a beauty salon located at number 91 of Avenida España, in the center of Vila.
Three agents of the Usecic and three civil guards have registered, at about 12 o’clockthe commercial premises. The patrol has taken a statement two workers from two neighboring businesses located on the same avenue.
While his colleagues intervened inside the center, four agents kept watch outside. At the end of the intervention, the agents bolted the beauty salon, lowering the gate completely.
An arrest on the road to Sant Josep
In the municipality of Sant Josep, another patrol has searched a house located in the middle of the countryside, on Cala Tarida Avenue.
In addition, in the same municipality, the GAR have arrested a person who was driving a red car on the road to Sant Josep. The unit has deployed, on the road, a chain of spikes to prevent his possible escape and arrest him.
Search in a polygon of Sant Rafel
Within the framework of the anti-drug macro-operation, action has also been taken in the Torres Costa industrial estate, located in Sant Rafel, in the municipality of Sant Antoni. Apparently, the site has been searched where there are deposited a large number of vehicles that are being removed by a municipal crane.
The Guardia Civil reports that there have already been several arrests, although it has not been able to specify how many. Also, from the security body have indicated during the searches have been seized various types of substances. For the moment, the exact number of arrests and searches is not known since the investigation is under judicial secrecy, according to the Benemérita.
