A 30-year-old man of foreign nationality is in critical condition after jumping into the sea from a height of five meters and falling onto rocks in Cala Salada, in the Ibizan municipality of Sant Antoni, as reported by SAMU 061.
The emergency service received a warning from the beach lifeguard at 3:55pm alerting them of the incindent.
The victim was rescued by boat and splinted.
An advanced life support ambulance from Sant Antoni and the new basic life support ambulance based in Sant Agustí, which came into service just a few days ago, was sent to the scene.
Man in critical condition
The man has suffered polytraumas with possible spinal cord injury. The patient has been admitted to the Policlínica Nuestra Señora del Rosario with a critical prognosis.
