A successful year for Ibiza’s nightlife

The island's nightclubs, many of them nominated for 'best club', match last season's records

2023 has been a very good year for Ibiza’s nightclubs: the season has equalled last year’s records and revenues, which were considered unattainable, according to the association Ocio de Ibiza.

Nearly 30,000 people passed through the island’s nightclubs during the openings, which started on April 28th. That weekend the prices of tourist accommodation skyrocketed, especially in Platja d’en Bossa and Vila.

In addition, Dalt Vila was the scene on April 28 of the International Music Summit (IMS), an event that was a great success and brought together great artists of electronic music.

The Pacha nightclub changed ownership in October, when Kabir Mulchandani, founder of Five Global Holdings, a company based in the United Arab Emirates, announced its purchase.

The ‘closing’ of the discotheques in mid-October was also a great success. Unlike the openings, there was no increase in the price of accommodations.

Now, the island’s nightclubs are getting ready for the next season. Hï Ibiza with the award one more year, of the best club in the world, according to the Golden Moon Awards. However, the Privilege nightclub will not open its doors in 2024 either.
