Girona – UD Ibiza, top scorers to clash in a tough poker match

In the UD Ibiza squad Castel has 9 goals, and Herrera, 7.

This Saturday will be an interesting battle between Girona FC and UD Ibiza at the Montilivi stadium, in a duel that could bring together four of the best strikers in the category. On the one hand, Stuani, current top scorer in the second division with 16 goals, although he is tied at the top of the scoring charts with Stoichkov (Eibar) and Borja Bastón (Oviedo). And accompanying him in the Girona attack will also be Nahuel Lautaro Bustos, the second highest scorer of Girona FC with 7 goals.

Leading the way for UD Ibiza is Sergio Castel, the islanders’ leading scorer with 9 goals, who is backed up by Cristian Herrera with 7 goals.

With three vital points at stake this matchday for both teams, and with the promotion play-offs looming large in the minds of both teams, a spectacle on the Montilivi pitch looks guaranteed, in a battle of strength againt strength in which the leading strikers of Girona FC and UD Ibiza will have to take command and responsibility in guiding their teams to victory.

“The team is doing very well and we will continue to work so that the three points against Ibiza stay at home”, says the Argentinian Nahuel Lautaro Bustos, in statements made to the Girona club’s own media, while he is optimistic about being able to win this Saturday against Paco Jémez’s side and to play a leading role in the clash against UD Ibiza, who will have to be especially careful with their quality and their ability to score goals.

“The fans have made me feel very good and have helped me a lot. I think I owe them a lot and every goal I score I will celebrate with them”, says the Girona FC striker, who is in his second season in the ranks of the Catalan club and who arrives to the game against UD Ibiza highly motivated and on a scoring streak, after scoring twice in the last matchday in the 1-3 victory that the Girona side achieved at UD Las Palmas, with a comeback from 1-0 down, led by Nahuel Lautaro Bustos with his two goals in just three minutes (62′ and 65′).

“It was very nice because scoring two goals doesn’t happen every time. I had my first game as a starter and I think it was a great day for me because the team won and it was my turn to score two goals. So I’m very happy,” said the 23-year-old from Cordoba (Argentina).
