Here are the best weekend plans in Ibiza and Formentera

Santa Eulària celebrates its patron saint's fiestas with traditional events, theatre and lots of music this weekend

Santa Eulària gathers this weekend for festivities honouring its patron saint with its traditional events, as well as theater, children’s shows and lots of music.

Between Friday and Sunday there will be dozens of concerts in different venues in the village, in a festival that will be rounded off by the Morning Drivers from Ibiza and David Demaría from Jerez on Saturday in the plaza. In addition, among the weekend’s offering is Guillem Albá’s work ‘Calma!’, against stress with clown, physical theater and puppet shows, also on Saturday at the Palacio de Congresos.

More cultural life is also happening outside Santa Eulària over the weekend.

In Vila, for example, the Orquesta Sinfónica Ciutat d’Eivissa will perform the ‘Concierto de Aranjuez’ with guitarist Pedro Mateo González as soloist, on Sunday afternoon at Can Ventosa.

In Formentera, for the season ‘L’Illa a escena’, the contemporary dance play ‘Aión’, by the company Fils Roulants, will be performed on Saturday at the municipal cinema.

Also on Saturday in Sant Josep, in the Can Jeroni auditorium, the theatrical monologue ‘Magellan.0’ will be performed for the 500th anniversary of the first trip around the world, with the Menorcan actor Rodo Gener.
