A truck has crashed this morning into the overpass of the first ring road and has displaced one of its concrete platforms, about twenty meters long. For this reason, and according to information from the Consell de Ibiza, the road that connects the Can Misses traffic circle with that of ses Figueretes will remain closed from today at 15.30 until the end of the work on the bridge.
The collision has misaligned the two central platforms of this structure and forced the closure of this crossing that allows pedestrians to cross the city’s ring road over its two lanes in each direction. A woman who was crossing the overpass at the time of the collision was injured in the wristaccording to eyewitnesses.
The collision occurred around 9:00 a.m because apparently the driver of the truck, from a company working on the work being carried out by Red Eléctrica, did not notice that the dump truck carrying sand for these works on the median of the first beltway had been raised. This articulated box of the vehicle to store material has been the one that has hit the flyover.
