December 22nd at 11:00pm, three hours after the shooter with the initials M.C. driving a white Volkswagen Golf fired two shots at another vehicle at the entrance to the parking lot of a popular supermarket located at the sa Carroca roundabout, Guardia Civil agents went at the suspect’s home, located in the center of Ibiza, in order to talk to his wife and try to locate him.

The investigators found the shooter’s address thanks to the Golf’s license plate, which was found on the same day on the 22nd in Vila’s calle Aragon, in the vicinity of the man’s house who is of Dominican nationality.

Shooter flees with drugs

What the officers did not expect was that M.C., 26, was in the house. While talking to the woman they heard noises at the back of the house and immediately investigated. M.C. had jumped from a window loaded with a butane canister full of drugs into an adjoining open field.

During his escape he had to get rid of the cylinder in order to run faster and managed to evade the Guardia Civil. When they inspected the canister they discovered that it was tampered with and that the upper part was unscrewed. Inside they found drugs along with some ammunition, confirms the Guardia Civil

M.C. has been on the run for three days and the Peripheral Office of the Benemérita (OPC) rules out that the suspect has left Ibiza because both the port and airport have been heavily guarded to prevent it.
