The plenary session of the Sant Antoni City Council approved last Thursday the allocation of almost nine million of the remainder of the budget for different investments and aid. Among other things, the Consistory plans to increase the fleet of local police vehicles and undertake various actions at the new police station. In this sense, the Councilor for the Interior, Neus Mateu, explained that after the completion of the work, it was found that the signage and flagpole were missing, as well as lockers and its electrical installation, among other issues that it expects to be remedied “in a couple of months.”
The remainder of the funds will also be used to carry out a beautification project for parks and gardens, the renovation of the skate park, the purchase of land and the renovation of the library, among other actions. Half a million euros will also be earmarked for social aid, with an additional 15,000 euros for student grants and 28,000 euros, in addition to the initial 40,000 euros, for the book reuse plan. In addition, almost 420,000 euros will be allocated for the temporary hiring of staff.
