The average price of electricity for regulated tariff customers linked to the wholesale market will rise this Monday to 85.23 euros per megawatt hour (MWh), an increase of 893.36% over Sunday’s 8.58 euros/MWh.

In the auction, the average price of electricity on the wholesale market – the so-called ‘pool’- is at 85.78 euros/MWh on Monday. The minimum price, at 4.20 euros, will be applied between 01.00 and 04.00 hours, while the maximum price is recorded between 19.00 and 20.00 hours, when it will reach 171.62 euros.

This price of the ‘pool’ is added to the compensation to the gas companies, which must be paid by the consumers who benefit from the measure, the consumers of the regulated tariff (PVPC) or those who, despite being in the free market, have an indexed tariff, which for this Monday is in negative figures (-0.55 euros/MWh).
