The firefighters of the Consell de Formentera this afternoon removed the lifeless body of a person on a beach in Migjorn.
At 15 30, firefighters received a notice from the Guardia Civil requesting their presence to remove a corpse of unknown identity that was in a place of difficult access, among the rocks, in Migjorn.
The lifeless body was in an advanced state of decomposition, so it has not been possible to identify its origin or gender. After removing the body from the rocks, the Guardia Civil was able to certify the death and it was then that he could be transferred to the hospital of Formentera to carry out the relevant investigations, reports the Consell insular.
The reasons for the death are unknown. The investigation is in charge of the Guardia Civil.
The extraction work was completed at 17 hours. Two firefighters arrived with a vehicle of various services.
