Pilar Costa, spokesperson for the Balearic Government, said yesterday that, if there are no complications, 4,780 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, aimed at people between the ages of 18 and 55, will arrive in the Balearic Islands today.

The Conselleria de Salud, however, clarified that there was still no confirmation of the arrival of this consignment and therefore could not indicate when vaccines would be delivered to Ibiza.

With regard to the vaccination of major dependents and their carers, which is scheduled to begin this week, the Pitiusa Health Area explained that “ the list of major dependents (grade III) is being compiled from Primary Care . Work is being done to identify them by degree of mobility and area of residence in order to call those who can be seen at the health centre and group the rest by area for home visits,” he said.
