Getting married in black on Halloween, having the dress code of your guests in the same colour, and showing Tim Burton films during the celebration is completely out of the idea that we all have of a wedding. Carlota Marañón decided to share the photos of her sister’s gothic wedding on her social networks and it has gone viral. In just one week it has received 14.7 million views.
Wedding details
The wedding of Ale, Carlota’s sister, was held in Ibiza halloween night. Among the decorations, spider webs, black veils, maroon flowers and Persian carpets. The bride wore a black mermaid dress with sweetheart neckline, lace and high neck. According to comments on social networks, it was “the wedding she had always dreamed of”.
The event has made Carlota win more than 50,000 followers in just a few days.
No detail was missing: the photocall was a life-size coffin; tequila shots at the entrance of the celebration; tables with titles of Tim Burton movies or the bride’s veil where you could read “Not even death can do us apart”.
