The Policía Nacional on Ibiza have reported the arrest of a man early Monday morning on suspicion of having sexually assaulted a girl from Ibiza. The police note details that it is a “middle-aged male of Spanish origin”.
In the account of the facts, the Policía Nacional body explains that the two had met days before, “when the victim and a group of friends were arranged to go on a night out on Ibiza with the arrestee and other acquaintances”.
After visiting several pubs on Ibiza, the detainee invited them to go to his house and continue talking and drinking. After a while, all the attendees, including the victim and her friends, went to sleep, the police note continues.
Victim awoke to the man raping her
However, upon awakening the victim found the alleged assailant on top of her, raping her, the statement said. The girl filed a complaint at the police station.
Subsequently, a friend of the victim recognized the alleged perpetrator of the crime in a shop in Ibiza town and alerted the Policía Nacional, who proceeded to arrest him.
