Where and when is the Adlib Ibiza catwalk this year?

In the parade, which the Consell had baptized with the Mallorcan term 'S'horabaixa', 14 firms will participate

A total of 14 designers will take part in this year’s Adlib catwalk, details of which were presented this morning at a hotel in Platja d’en Bossa. The island’s councillor for Economic and Business Promotion and Municipal Cooperation, María Fajarnés, surrounded by twelve of these designers, explained that Adlib 2023, which this year reaches its 52nd edition, will be held on 9 and 10 June. At first, Fajarnés pointed out that the slogan for this year’s edition is ‘S’horabaixa’, a term that horrified some of those present due to the Mallorcan nature of the word. In Ibiza, as this newspaper reminded the councillor, another term, ‘solpost’, is used. The councillor herself acknowledged after the press conference that she too found the word a bit grating. “We’ll change it to solpost, it’s true that it sounds more local,” she said.

The 9th will be the day of the young designers. At eight o’clock in the evening in the Passeig de la Mar in Sant Antoni will take place the Futur Adlib contest, in which six fashion students will participate. One of them, detailed the councilor, is from Eivissa. The presenter of the contest will be the model Lídia Torrent, well known for being the main waitress of the popular dating show ‘First dates’.

The Adlib fashion show is scheduled for June 10 at half past eight in the evening at the Recinto Ferial. Fourteen designers will show their latest proposals: Ibimoda, Tony Bonet, Elisa Pomar, Ibiza Stones, Piluca Bayarri, Mónika Maxim, Vintage Ibiza, Dolors Miró, Strivankus, Espardenyes Torres, Ivana Mestres, Virginia Vald, S72Hat and K de Kose Kose. Some of them have explained some details of the collections they are preparing. Tony Bonet explained that he has been inspired by the storm and Antònia Riera (Ibimoda) has advanced that his collection is called ‘Llum’.

The presenter will be the model Laura Sánchez, a good connoisseur of Adlib, as she has participated in the catwalk on several occasions. Among the confirmed models that will parade are Claudia Martín, Neus Bermejo, Paula Willems and the Ibizan Ana Vide, “who is from the family,” said the councilor, who stressed that specialized media will travel to the island to cover the catwalk.

The entrance to see the catwalk will be free “until full capacity”which is 1,500 people,” said the councilor.
