Alma Ajna Wünsche Matilla, daughter of Reinald Wünsche (Berlin 1943-Formentera 2008), yesterday signed a partnership agreement on cultural heritage for the storage of images in the Image and Sound Archive of the Consell de Formentera, totalling 34,000 negatives and 271 slides on Formentera and the life of the author, shot between 1970 and 2007.

Reinald Wünsche’s photographic collection of Formentera is now indexed in the heritage inventory of documentary images of the island, given its historical and artistic value.

With the signing of the agreement the Consell de Formentera will receive the digital copies of this collection. The archive will digitise the negatives in order to preserve the copies and free access will be granted for the purposes of conservation, research, education and cultural dissemination, according to the internal regulations of the AISF.
