The north of Ibiza dyed pink as covid infections drop below 200

Sant Antoni remains the most affected municipality of the Pitiusas with 617,8 covid infections

Sant Joan is the first municipality of the Pitiusas to fade into pink on the covid incidence map fading for the Balears. At the moment it appears in pink, after further reducing the 250 contagions by hundred thousand inhabitants at two weeks. Right now 152.1 cases are registered at fourteen days and only 15.2 at seven days. At the moment, it is the third least affected municipality by the virus on the Balearic Islands. Only Escorca, in Mallorca, and es Migjorn Gran, in Menorca, have lower indicators. The rest of Ibiza’s municipalities, as well as the island of Formentera, still appear in purple in spite of the generalized fall in the infections registered in the last weeks.

Ibiza and Formentera remain the least affected islands of the Comunitat, according to the latest data published by the Balearic Ministry of Health in the covid viewer. Ibiza registers, in fact, 493.3 affected per hundred thousand inhabitants at two weeks, practically 200 coronavirus cases less than the Balearic average, which stands at 685.3. In the last seven days the incidence of the virus has been reduced by more than half, 50.3%. The fall, across the total of the Balearic Islands, has been nine points less: 41.2%.

The incidences to a week, both Ibiza and Formentera as well as each and every one of the municipalities of the Pitiusas, predict that covid infections will continue to decline. And quite fast, as it has done in the last ten days.
