The best weekend plans on Ibiza and Formentera

Weekend festivities and classical music for the final days of August

We must begin with the news of the cancellation of the concert of Pablo Milanés that was scheduled this Saturday on Ibiza due to health reasons for the Cuban singer. It will be for another time…

But there are many other events and a lot of music over the coming weekend. Highlights include the classical music festival Ibiza Concerts, which reaches its fourth year after the break of the pandemic, with violinist Linus Roth at the helm and three days of concerts, from Friday to Sunday, in the church of Santo Domingo de Dalt Vila. Also the Jam al sol post, which put the finishing touch to the weekend every Sunday of summer in es Cubells.

The rest of concerts are part of the programs of festivities. This weekend it’s Sant Agustí’s turn, a party always accompanied by the good atmosphere and great music. On Saturday they celebrate Santa Monica and on Sunday the patron saint, with traditional events and two nights of concerts with groups from the island and abroad.

There are also parties in Platja d’en Bossa all weekend from Thursday to Sunday, with a disco party, another eighties party and the icing on the cake with the Mecano tribute concert on Friday

There are also festive activities in Sant Antoni this weekend, which continues with its program after celebrating Sant Agustí, Sant Llorenç and Cala Llonga on Wednesday.

And for lovers of contemporary dance, the sports center des Viver hosts a new edition of the professional course Ibiza Dance Platform this weekend.
