Man arrested for trafficking laughing gas after his house was buglarized on Ibiza

The Guardia Civil agents have seized 244 large bottles of this substance believed to be part of a trafficking operation.

A 29 year old man of Spanish nationality has been arrested by agents of the Guardia Civil as an alleged trafficker of nitrous oxide, better known as laughing gas.

Trafficking objects found

The agents were investigating a theft inside a house in Sant Josep which had been accessed with the landlord to take samples, when they detected “a notorious amount of nitrous oxide bottles and dispensers, as well as bags of balloons”, objects that are used “in trafficking this substance”, as reported by the Peripheral Communication Office (OPC) of the Benemérita

In total the agents seized 244 large bottles of laughing gas, with their corresponding dispensers, as well as nine bags of 80 balloons each.

After the visual inspection, the tenant of the property was arrested as “allegedly responsible”.
