Ibiza and Formentera are on yellow alert for low temperatures of up to -1 degree in inland areas from 9pm on Sunday until 7am Monday, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet)

The Pitiusas spent a wintery night of wind, rain and hail. Low temperatures have allowed hail to leave a thin blanket of snow in some parts of the island.

In the image below you can see a snapshot captured this morning by a neighbor of s’Argamassa, in the municipality of Santa Eulària, shared by Aemet, where cars are coated with a subtle layer of frost.

The Aemet has activated this Sunday the orange alert for important risk of minimum temperatures in Aragon and Catalonia, and the yellow alert (lower intensity) in Castilla-La Mancha, Community of Madrid and Navarra.
