The call for grants from tourist vouchers for inter-island travel of residents in Balearic Islands has opened this Thursday the deadline for applications.
This has been indicated through a press release by the Agrupación Empresarial de Agencias de Viajes de Baleares (Balearic Travel Agencies Business Association) (Aviba), which has pointed out that all its associated agencies work as collaborating entities for booking procedures.
The application for making requests is operational as of March 2. The grants are intended to incentivize the demand for tourism services and reactivate the economy of the islands.
The Balearic Islands Tourism Strategy Agency (Aetib) will subsidize the tourism services offered on the islands of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera for stays in regulated tourist accommodations and/or tourist vacation stays (ETV) on an island other than that of the habitual residence.
Minimum stay: two consecutive nights
The grant consists of a maximum amount of 100 euros per beneficiary person and a number of conditions must be met: among them, that the minimum stay in the accommodation must be two consecutive nights. In addition, the stay must be on an island other than the island of usual residence.
Interested persons may make lthe entire procedure may be carried out in their own name and/or on behalf of those accompanying them. The representation will be understood to be granted when the beneficiaries travel together, provided that they are on the same tourist voucher.
Interested persons must pre-register by filling out a form online.
For the year 2023 the reservation dates must be in the periods June 1, 2023 through June 30, 2023–with the exception of June 22 through June 25–and September 1 through November 15, 2023 (all dates indicated inclusive).
