In this sense, the communiqué highlights that “60% of the lifeguard staff of Sant Josep live in vansin their own car or even camping – which is called destitution – in a forest or on a beach, or crammed into company houses where up to three people have to share a room”.

The union regrets that the mileuristas salaries are perceived despite the existence of “a sectoral agreement of lifeguarding”. This, it criticizes, includes “a pro-company clause that violates the workers’ statute and prevents the introduction of the new agreement”. On the other hand, the note affirms that the professionals of the sector receive “a forgotten technical instructionoutdated and derisory from 2015″.
