The Juliette squall is heading east of the Balearic Islands, bringing with it intense cold, heavy rainfall, maritime storms, strong winds, and very heavy snowfall to the region. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a red warning for the Serra de Tramuntana in Mallorca as the snow is expected to fall at very low altitudes, posing a significant risk to the area.
The archipelago will experience strong to very strong winds from the north, with gusts of up to 90 km/h expected.
Aemet has issued a yellow alert for Ibiza and Formentera, due to rough seas with waves ranging from three to four meters. This alert will be in effect from 6 a.m. on Monday until midnight on Tuesday.
The likelihood of precipitation is 100% starting from midnight this Sunday, with rains gradually tapering off in the afternoon. The snow level is expected to be at 500 meters tomorrow.
The temperature range for Monday is expected to be between 3 and 9 degrees, with 3 degrees being the minimum and 9 degrees being the maximum.
