The ‘Plataforma per la catalogació dels camins públics d’Eivissa’ has expressed on its social networks its “shock” at the death of Rika Humphreys, the driving force behind the hiking group ‘Walk and Talk Ibiza’, which organizes routes through the north of the island to learn about the natural heritage. According to the platform in its social networks, Humphreys was very close to the municipality of Sant Joan.

The Popular Party of Sant Joan has also spoken out on social networks about the death of the hiker and has shown its condolences. “Rika Humphreys has left us, a person with great roots in Sant Joan and, surely, one of the greatest connoisseurs of the secret corners of our municipality. His famous walks (‘Walk and Talk Ibiza’) have energized for many years the activity during the winter and have allowed us to know Sant Joan in a healthy way”, highlight the popular people on Facebook.

According to their publication, he represented Ibiza in several tourism fairs such as the ITB in Berlin, “promoting Sant Joan as a place to enjoy nature with the family,” they add.
