The best plans for the weekend on Ibiza and Formentera

Christmas, Can Nadal at the Recinto Ferial and illusionism with Anthony Blake in Santa Eulària for a festive packed weekend

Christmas activities fill the agenda over the next few days on Ibiza and Formentera. Only the Can Bonet and ses Païsses festivities, although still completely decked out for Christmas, plays by the Pedro Cañestro season, and the various cinema seasons feature outside of the Christmas programs.

One of the most important events is the Can Nadal Fair, which will be open all weekend at the Ibiza Fairgrounds with markets, activities and shows for the whole family, in benefit of the IFCC association.

Among the highlights of the Christmas programs this weekend is the performance by the mentalist Anthony Blake on Saturday at the Santa Eulària Palacio de Congresos, the inauguration of the Sant Jordi Espai Nadalenc on Friday, Vila’s responsible animal adoption day on Saturday, the Formentera concert night also on Saturday, with Red Hot Chili Covers and Doctor Prats. And on Sunday, the Jesús Fun&Trucks and the charity biker “Papanoelada” of Sant Antoni, among many, many other offerings.

In addition, Pacha nightclub hosts its traditional inclusive charity party on SundayPacha con los niños‘, benefitting several associations.

The can Bonet, ses Païsses and Sol y Descanso festivals the exhibition of racing vehicles on Saturday, which conclude with traditional torrada of gerret and sobrassada, or the Christmas, craft and second-hand market on Sunday, with a charity meal in aid of Affares, are all worth mentioning.

The Pedro Cañestro de teatro amateur season arrives this weekend with two plays: ‘Don Q’ on Friday at the Jesús Cultural Center and ‘Èpoques’ on Saturday at the parish hall of Sa Cala de Sant Vicent.

There’s also cinema, an IEE excursion, activities in Vila’s parks…. a bit of everything is on offer.
