The best plans for the weekend on Ibiza and Formentera

25N events mark the agenda this weekend, in a program with theater, music and dance

The events for the 25N, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women mark the protest agenda this weekend but also bring cultural activities to Eivissa and Formentera. The program of events to celebrate this date is extensive and reaches all municipalities. It is worth mentioning the traditional rally in Vila, organized by different feminist associations, from 5:30pm in the Paseo de Vara de Rey, and the one in Formentera on the same day, from 5pm in the Plaza de la Constitució in Sant Francesc. Or the opening of the exhibition ‘Silenciades’ at the Far de ses Coves Blanques in Sant Antoni.

This weekend also comes with a new festival that links art with environmental sustainability. It is called Nativ Ibiza Alive and between Friday and Sunday has scheduled various activities between the Mercat Nou and the Parque de la Paz de Vila and surroundings.

There is also a dance show, ‘Natanam’, which can be seen on Friday at the Auditorium of Cas Serres de Eivissa and Saturday at the municipal cinema of Formentera.

And several plays, such as the comedy ‘El burro que cayó en un pozo’, de Artes Pavón, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Can Ventosa; ‘Stepanakert, cor de magrana’, by the Companyia de ‘Teatre per la memòria’, Saturday in Santa Eulària and Sunday in Sant Josep, or ‘amarg’, of the ‘Teatre per la memòria’, on Sunday in Santa Eulària.

As for music, saxophonist Muriel Grossmann brings jazz to Teatro Ibiza this Friday, and the last concerts in honor of Santa Cecilia, patron saint of musicians, are being held at several venues.

And there are still the last throes of the festivities of Santa Gertrudis or Frorada . A very complete program to enjoy the weekend.
