A boat with eleven migrants has arrived on the coast of Ibiza at 3am, as reported by the Government Delegation in the Balearic Islands. The boat landed at Cala Codolar, in the municipality of Sant Josep. Citizen security patrols from the Compañía de Ibiza have intervened.
Two more boats have arrived in Cabrera early this morning at 2:50am with twelve people and nine people each. The boats were previously sighted by the SIVE at sea and later intervened by the Maritime Service of the Guardia Civil and Salvamento Marítimo.
All migrants are “in apparent good health”, according to the Delegation of the Government.
Finally, at 6:10am today seventeen people arrived in a skiff sighted by a private individual, which was intercepted on land in the port of Colonia Sant Jordi, municipality of Ses Salines, in Mallorca. Citizen security patrols of the Compañía de Manacor have intervened.
152 migrants in October
A total of 152 people reached the Pitiusas in skiffs during the month of October. In total, 13 arrivals have been registered and the great majority of the migrants arrived on the coast of Formentera. In fact, 139 people from North Africa have intercepted by the Policía Local and the patrols of Public Safety of the island.
