Jazz was also the star of the Sant Jaume festivities with a special guest performance by Oliver & Llombart Duo. On this occasion, this event, which is held every Saturday in the summer, took place on Sunday night, with a packed audience following the rhythm of the repertoire of the Jazz & Co base band, formed by Tony Gartell (cornet and violin), Vicente Roselló (bass), Enrique González (guitar), and with the regular collaboration of Santi Ranírez and Gustavo Rojo, among other local musicians.
Last Sunday’s guests at the Plaza de la Constitució in Sant Francesc, Jaume Llombart and Enrique Oliver, are two outstanding musicians with a long career in which they have shared the stage with jazz icons such as Al Foster, Mark Turner, Doug Weis, Jorge Rossy, Chris Cheek, Lee Konitz, George Cables or Benny Golson, among others.
During the fifteen years of their career they have performed in the main Spanish clubs and festivals. They also participated twice in the Birmingham International Jazz Festival, in the Poori Jazz Festival (Finland) and had a two-month residency at the Café Brahma in New York.
