Firefighters have gone this noon to the town of Sant Antoni at the notice that a gas leak was occurring, originated in the course of the works being carried out at the Hotel Piscis, at the entrance of the town from the Ibiza highway.
The alert has reached the 12:20 hours to the switchboard of the Island Park. Four workers on board a vehicle equipped with a heavy pump were dispatched to the scene of the emergency. They were involved in supervision tasks while the leak was stopped.
The fault was repaired at around 2:10 p.m. and did not cause any damage. According to firefighters, the leak started when a construction worker accidentally hit the gas line while digging a trench. The street was closed during the work of the emergency services.
