The City Council of Sant Josep yesterday presented the program of the Fiestas de Sant Francesc de s’Estany 2023, which this year bets on traditions, family activities and enjoy the natural beauty of the environment in which the village is located, in the Natural Park of Ses Salines, all by the hand of the Grup Folklòric de Sant Jordi.
“We are going to enjoy some very special days for our municipality, although it is not a very extensive program of festivities, it contains activities for all ages and this year also with live music, which is josepina brand,” said yesterday the councilor of Fiestas, Cristina Ribas.
The big day of the festivities is tomorrow Sunday, as is tradition in this core, the festival is always held on the first Sunday of the month and this year it coincides with Palm Sunday. There will be mass at 12 noon in the church, followed by the procession and the ball pagès by the Grup Folklòric de Sant Jordi. At 1.30 p.m., the party moves to the San Francisco bar, to taste a vermouth with live music by Martin Pollard.
Today Saturday is scheduled a children’s craft workshop with ornithological theme, at 11 am at the Interpretation Center of Sant Francesc, next to the church. This activity requires prior registration at apropantlanatura@gmail.com and is recommended for children aged 6 to 9 years.
This year’s program closes on Friday, April 7, with the Easter passos.
