GxF and Més request 8 million for the Formentera highway agreement

Senator Vicenç Vidal proposes several of the amendments concerning Formentera

Vicenç Vidal, regional senator for Més per Mallorca, proposed many revisions to the General State Budget relating to Formentera and reached an agreement with Gent per Formentera (GxF).

Susana Labrador, the secretary general of the islands’ party, stated in a press declaration that “an amendment of 300,000 euros has been presented for the Court of First Instance of Formentera; a second amendment of eight million for the road agreement plus one relating to the transfer to the CAIB of waste transport between Ibiza and Formentera, worth seven million.

GxF also notes the environmental changes, which call for investment in the Balearic Islands’ marine reserves (three million euros), the protection of posidonia (one million euros), and dune systems (ten million euros), and which answer to Formentera’s “island model and political agenda.”

There are also revisions pertaining to social policies in support of victims of gender abuse, as well as claiming public financing for the 0-3 year school stage, among other things. The collaboration with Senator Vidal, according to Labrador, is “critical to demanding what belongs to our island and underscores the need for an island policy to defend the interests of Formentera and the Balearic Islands.”
