Macaco, Pongo and Axel Pi Sidonie DJ Set will be the stars of the Nit de Concerts of the Sant Jaume 2023 festivities next Monday, 24 July. The performances will begin at 8.30 p.m. in the Plaça de la Constitució in Sant Francesc.
In his performance in Formentera, part of the tour ‘Volando el corazón’ (Flying the heart)macaco will unveil the songs from the new album, which talks about love relationships, their complexity and transcendence. In this album he has had the collaboration of renowned artists such as Leiva, Fuel Fandango, Álvaro Soler, Pedro Capó and Ky-Mani Marley, Vicente García, Ana Mena and Bejo, Kevin Johansen, Ximena Sariñana, Valeria Castro, Rita Payés, Conociendo Rusia, Tanxugueiras, Ape Scimmione and Travis Bird.
The concert at the Plaza de la Constitució will also include their most emblematic songs.
Another of the concerts planned for this musical event is that of Pongo, an artist who is about to present her first album ‘Sakidila’which means ‘thank you’ in Kimbundu, one of the languages spoken in Angola. It is a fusion of kuduro, afrobeat, favela funk or afro funk.
The verbena will close with a performance by Axel Pi , drummer of the band Sidoniewho returns to Formentera to play dance music from the 60’s to the present.
