Zero cost for UD Ibiza

The former second goalkeeper for Roma lands in Can Misses at zero cost. According to Italian media, the Italian team reserves 30% of a future sale of the player and a 300,000 bonus in case of promotion to La Liga. Daniel Fuzato would currently be valued on the market at 800,000 euros, according to the specialized portal Transfermarket, where it is also indicated that the transalpine club paid half a million euros to Palmeiras to acquire his services in July 2018.

Monchi-Gómez connection

Monchi, the current general sporting director of Sevilla, was the engineer of his signing for Roma when he worked for the Italian club and, now, the close link he has with the new Celeste sporting director Miguel Ángel Gómez would have facilitated the operation.

Daniel Fuzato has on his record a call-up to the Brazil senior team in 2019 and in December last year, he played his only official match with Roma in the Conference League, a competition in which he ended up being champion.

Fuzato started from the Palmeiras goalkeeping school, the team with which he took his first steps in 2010 at the age of 12, and went through all the youth categories, finishing his training in 2017 in the U-20 squad. By the age of 17, the 1.90-meter-tall goalkeeper was already known for his good work in the subsidiary team and began training with the main squad as fourth goalkeeper. He even became Palmeiras’ third goalkeeper between 2015 and 2016, when the team won the Cup and the Brazilian Championship.

In January 2018 he was officially promoted to the Palmeiras first team and was transferred in the second half of the same year to Roma. According to Transfermarket, the Roman club paid half a million euros to the Brazilian club for the operation.
