Rapper Megan Thee Stallion, sued by a worker for having sex in the car with another woman in Ibiza with him next to her

The U.S. rapper was denounced Tuesday by a personal cameraman, who also asks for overtime pay for the overtime she worked

The American rapper Megan Thee Stallion was sued Tuesday by an ex-personal cameraman who alleges she experienced sexual harassment by the singer, whom she also accused of creating a “hostile work environment.”

According to the document filed in a Los Angeles court, the plaintiff, Emilio Garciaclaims that he was fired by the singer in retaliation for his complaints about salary and hourly wages and that during the time he worked with the rapper he received derogatory comments about his physical appearance.

In the lawsuit, Garcia explains that Megan Pete, the singer’s legal name, engaged in sexual intercourse with a woman with him by her side while they were in a moving car in Ibiza in 2022, and that this made him feel “ashamed, mortified and offended”.

He also describes that Pete asked him never to mention what he had seen that night and that, on the same trip, the rapper made lewd comments about his physical appearance repeatedly that made him feel “denigrated,” by calling him a “fat bitch” or asking him to “spit food.”

Garcia also contends that after the trip, the remuneration for his work changed from a monthly fee to payment for various tasks he had performed and for which he was required to submit invoices, but that the rapper intended for him to provide the same services despite the change in salary structure.

The cameraman began working with the ‘Hiss’ author in 2019 and terminated his working relationship with her in June 2023.

Lawsuit

The lawsuit claims unpaid wages plus interest, payment for unpaid overtime hours worked, plus statutory and wage penalties under California labor law, punitive damages according to the evidence, and attorneys’ fees.

“Megan just needs to pay our client what she owes her, own up to her behavior and stop this type of sexual harassment and fat-shaming behavior,” plaintiff attorney Ron Zambrano said in a statement picked up by U.S. media.

Also, in a statement for the U.S. magazine People, Alex Spiro, the 29-year-old singer’s lawyer, assured that it was a labor dispute for money “without any sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to try to embarrass her.”
