Club Nautico Ibiza attracts new company bidding for management

The offer for the Club Nautico Ibiza by Puertos y Litorales Sostenibles SL, which already operates on Formentera, apparently quadruples the price of some moorings.

The Club Nautico Ibiza (CNI) has found a competitor who wants to take over its facilities in the port of Vila. The company Puertos y Litorales Sostenibles SL has also applied for the public tender of the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands for the provisional management of this space. As this newspaper has learnt, the offer presented by this company, created in 2016 and which already manages the dock for small boats in La Savina, would mean quadrupling the current rates paid by boats between eight and 15 meters in length, while they would be doubled in the case of boats of less than eight meters.

After the opening of the tenders of both offers last week, it was revealed that the proposal of Puertos y Litorales Sostenibles SL is 1.85 euros per day per square meter for boats over eight meters in length, while those of CNI are below 0.5 euros per square meter per day.

“A ten-meter boat, which until now pays 10,000 euros per year to dock at the Club Nautico Ibiza, would pay 40,000”

Thus, a ten-meter boat, which until now pays 10,000 euros per year to dock at the Club Nautico Ibiza, would pay 40,000. In the case of lengths of less than eight meters, the annual cost of its mooring would rise from 3,000 to about 5,000 euros.
