Suspended physician who delivered a baby in a house in Ibiza fails to submit report to the Medical Association

The Guardia Civil provides the judicial body with the report on the medical assistance in this case in which the newborn died in Ibiza.

The Guardia Civil today plans to send to the judicial authority the report on the birth of a baby in a private house in Santa Eulària, Ibiza that was attended by the doctor Ángel Ruiz-Valdepeñas. Ruiz-Valdepeñas is suspended by the Official College of Doctors for his repeated and public protests against the measures approved to fight against the covid pandemic, including masks, the covid passport and the vaccines themselves. It so happens that the baby died days later in the pediatric ICU of the Mallorcan hospital of Son Espases.

According to the Guardia Civil, several statements have been taken during the investigation. For the moment, the Armed Institute has not wanted to confirm if they are going to charge the doctor, suspended of collegiate membership for denialism, with a crime.

After what happened, Ruiz-Valdepeñas committed last week with the Official College of Doctors of the Balearic Islands to deliver a report on childbirth. The chamber organization confirmed yesterday that they have not received this report, as they have no news of “the theoretical complaint against the president” of the College, José Manuel Valverde, who reported the doctor.

Cardiorespiratory arrest

The little girl was born in a house in Santa Eulària, Ibiza in a delivery allegedly assisted by the suspended doctor and, after suffering cardiorespiratory arrest, was initially transferred to the Can Misses Hospital. Subsequently, she had to be taken to Son Espases, where she remained in the pediatric ICU until her death.

In May, the Medical Association sanctioned the doctor with a six-year suspension and a fine of 16,660 euros for denying the pandemic.
