How a man peddled drugs in Ibiza clubs: Cocaine and ketamine concealed in socks

Man faces up to four years in prison

The Second Section of the Provincial Court of the Balearic Islands celebrates this Tuesday, at 09.45 am, the pre-trial hearing against a young man of British origin, accused of crime against public health for having been caught by the Local Police of Sant Josep (Ibiza), in an access control to a discotheque, with drugs hidden in a sock for subsequent sale.

The prosecutor asks for a total of four years and nine months in prison for the defendant, who remained in pre-trial detention in this case from May 22 to June 13, 2019.

Also, a fine of 2.000 euroswith subsidiary personal liability of 20 days of imprisonment in case of non-payment.

Discotheque in Sant Josep

According to the indictment, at around 01.55 hours on May 21, 2019, the accused was surprised by agents of the Local Police of Sant Josep, at an access control to a discotheque in the town, carrying hidden inside a sock 13 bags, containing 6.147 grams of cocaine and 6.632 grams of ketamine, plus 25 MDMA tablets weighing 13.44 grams.

Apparently, the accused wanted to sell these substances inside the discotheque. It is estimated that these substances would have reached an approximate price of 942.54 euros on the illicit market.

The accused was also caught with 215 euros and 10 pounds sterling, allegedly from the sale of these substances to third parties.
