The professionals, including seven members of the Vertical Rescue Group, have gone to the place to rescue a 29-year-old man, according to the Island Park. As they have subsequently reported, it is a young Belgian who works doing the season in Ibiza and was with a friend hiking in the area. The man jumped into the water in the cave but then could not get out, so they called for help.

The warning arrived at the station at 17.20 hours. Initially, two members of the Vertical Rescue Group and three normal firefighters on board the GRV’s own vehicle and another light vehicle were sent to the area, and later they were joined by five more rescuers.

Firefighters have prepared a progression rope to reach the victim, who was in the water, and put the evacuation triangle, and then a traction line to remove it from the vertical. The complicated rescue has lasted more than three hours and firefighters, who have returned to the Island Park at a quarter to nine in the evening, report that the young man helped, beyond some bruises, was unharmed.
