Active cases of covid in the islands of Ibiza and Formentera again exceed 300 and stand at 308. Not seen a similar figure since October 1, when Ibiza and Formentera recorded 322. The weekend have been detected 42 new infections, 21 (20 in Ibiza and one in Formentera) for Friday and 20 on Saturday. On Sunday only one new positive was counted, since being a holiday only urgent tests are practiced.
The number of hospitalized remains the same as last Friday: 14, two of them in the critical units of Ibiza.
292 people remain at home, 285 in the largest of the Pitiusas and seven in Formentera. There are six health professionals in active surveillance, three of them positive, the same number as last Friday.
Covid contagions in students
According to health data, there are currently 19 positive students in Ibiza (15 last week) and none in Formentera, and there are six school groups in quarantine.
On the other hand, the Department of Education has already begun to distribute the first mobile air purification devices with HEPA H13 filters to guarantee safety in schools.
