Senegalese man reported missing in Cala de Bou

Concern in the Senegalese community of Sant Josep and Sant Antoni for Mbaye Lo

The Association of Senegalese of Ibiza has publicly denounced the disappearance of a man of this nationality in the area of Cala de Bou, of which nobody has heard anything about him for about 20 days. It is about Mbaye Lo, 44 years oldand a resident of the island for many years.

The disappearance occurred between March 23 and April 4, when her roommate filed a complaint at the headquarters of the Civil Guard in Sant Antoni, whose agents are investigating the case.

According to the friend’s account, on March 23 he went to work and left his partner in the apartment they share in Cala de Bou, in the municipality of Sant Josep. When he returned he was not there and since then no one has heard from him. The last time he was seen he was wearing a white nylon jacket and grey canvas pants, as well as red, blue and white Adidas sneakers.

Concern

Another roommate related that Mbaye Lo put on a washing machine and hung it out before leaving and she has not seen him again either.

“We are very worried because no one knows anything about him and he is a very well known and loved person”, assures Ndiaga Sarr, president of the Senegalese association, which has made this complaint public. Sarr recalls a similar case that occurred four years ago, with another man of Senegalese nationality from Sant Antoni, who went out to work in the morning and was never heard from again. A search operation was launched but to no avail. He disappeared without a trace.
