Those planning to fly Ryanair this week should take note of this: the company’s web site will be unavailable from 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16 until 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17. The company has sent an urgent message to all those travelers affected to check-in online before this time, as its website will be inoperative due to improvement works.
Although it is a short period of time, this downtime of the web could affect any traveler who leaves check-in to the last minute. Therefore, the company urges passengers planning to fly during this period to check in early.
In a statement posted on its website, Ryanair said: “Our website and mobile application are undergoing essential scheduled maintenance from 19:00 hours on Wednesday 16 October until 03:00 hours (GMT) on Thursday 17 October. Passengers planning to fly during this period should check in online before 19:00 hours (GMT) on Wednesday 16 October. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused as a result of this brief period of downtime.”
Those who fail to check in online up to two hours before scheduled departure time, may check in at the airport up to 40 minutes prior to departure, but will be charged a fee of check-in fee. On its website, Ryanair states, “We urge all passengers to check in online before arriving at the airport to avoid these fees.”
