Impressive video of 100’s of jellyfish on Ibiza

The images of the jellyfish were taken in Es Nàutic de Sant Antoni.

Es Nàutic de Sant Antoni last week posted on its Instagram account a impressive video where you could see hundreds of jellyfish in the water surrounding the sports facilities. “If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in the water”, publishes Es Nàutic accompanying the video on their social networks.

It is a translucent pink jellyfish, a regular in the waters of the Mediterranean in summer.

Its scientific name is Pelagia noctiluca. It measures about 20cm in diameter. It has a bulging mushroom-shaped umbrella, four oral and 16 marginal tentacles that can reach 20 meters long.
