British authorities have announced the location of a boy who went missing during a family holiday in Malaga in 2017 and who, after allegedly escaping from a spiritual community in France, was found this week in the town of Revel, near Toulouse.
Alex Batty who now has 17 years old disappeared during a vacation with his mother and grandfather. His grandmother and legal guardian told the BBC at the time that she suspected the boy had been taken to Moroccohis mother wanted to be integrated into a sect and take him out of school.
Batty finally reappeared Wednesday in Revel, where he was spotted by a concerned driver who took him to a police station, according to police sources quoted by British Public Broadcasting. According to the testimony of the minor, had been in France for at least two years, although it has not been revealed what all his movements have been during the time he has been unaccounted for.
Batty has not reported that he was abused and initial tests indicate that he is in good health in good health.
