The Ibizan athlete Marc Tur Picó has been crowned team racewalking world champion. He did it this morning in Oman together with his teammates Miguel Ángel López, Álvaro Martín, Manuel Bermúdez and Álvaro López. The Peña Deportiva athlete has finished in the eleventh position, with a time of 2:39:30 hours.
The starting gun went off at 4am (peninsular time). 35 kilometers later, Marc Tur once again achieved a milestone in the history of Ibizan sport by winning the gold medal in a world championship.
The athlete from Peña Deportiva is currently experiencing a great sporting period, after achieving a spectacular fourth place at the last Olympic Games in Tokyo.
