Aqualia will execute works for the replacement of Vila’s municipal water supply network throughout the night on February 2nd to 3rd as a preventive measure before the summer season.
These measures require the company to carry out a scheduled suspension of water supply from 11:59pm on Thursday, February 2nd until 7:00am on Friday, February 3rd.
To minimize the inconvenience, the cut will take place at night, reports Aqualia, but will affect the entire city of Ibiza. The low areas will have water at all times, but a drop in pressure will be noticed in the high areas, i.e., the neighborhoods of Dalt Vila, Can Misses, the area of Casas Baratas and Can Cifre.
Aqualia advises residents to turn off taps tightly to avoid possible unnecessary water losses, as well as damage to interior installations during the restoration of the service.
The Municipal Service of Aigües de Ibiza is working to offer technical solutions to improve the water network of the municipality.
