A man lost his life yesterday while playing a slot machine in a gambling house in the Ses Figueretes area, as this newspaper has learned.
A patrol of the local police force of the municipality received the warning through the Emergency 112 service at around 17.30 hours that there was a person who had collapsed on the floor of the premises.
The deceased was gambling on one of the gambling machines in the establishment when he apparently suffered a cardiac arrestalthough the exact cause of death is not known at this time.
Upon arrival, the officers, who immediately went to the scene of the incident, found that the body had been lying lifeless and stretched out for about an houraccording to Diario de Ibiza sources close to the case.
Neither the workers nor any of the other customers of the premises perceived what had happened since the man was playing in a corner quite far away from the place where the rest of the machines are located inside the premises.
